Journalists held protest demo against DC Kulgam

Anantnag: Scribes affiliated with Anantnag Working Journalist Association Anantnag (AWJA) and Kulgam Working Journalist Association Saturday held protest demonstration against Deputy Commissioner Kulgam who misbehaved with a senior journalist yesterday.

Working journalists assembled in the premises of Deputy Commissioner Kulgam and held a silent protest demonstration.

Protesting journalists expressed serious concern over the growing intolerance of officials towards them and urged international rights organizations protecting journalists worldwide to take a strong note of such incidents.

Members in voice condemned the misbehavior of deputy commissioner Kulgam with the member of association and demanded unconditional apology for him.

Assistant Commissioner Revenue later tendered apology on behalf of Deputy Commissioner and assured that administration in the district will take extra care in future.
