Fresh Snow In Upper Reaches

GULMARG: Upper reaches, including Affarwat, the highest skiing point experienced fresh snowfall while plains were lashed by rain.

Sun was playing hide and seek again today due to which the maximum temperature remained below normal while the minimum witnessed surge, barring Kargil where it remained unchanged at 2 degrees Celsius.

A Met department spokesman said here this afternoon that there could be isolated rain or thundershowers in the Jammu and Kashmir during the next 24 hours.

During the subsequent two days there is possibility of light rain or thundershowers in the state.

Affarwat and other heights in Gulmarg sector received fresh snowfall a UNI report said.

However, there was rain at Kongdori and Gulmarg.

Fresh snowfall was also received at Sheshnag, Mahaguns, Pisso top and Panjterni.
