17 Zanskar passengers rescued

Srinagar: Police rescued 17 stranded passengers near Panzila in mountainous region of Zanskar in Kargil district.

A police spokesman said: “A team of police personnel headed by DySP DAR/SDRF Kargil were deputed to rescue some passengers who were reported to be stranded between Rangdum and Panzila in Zanaskar due to bad road and weather,” adding: “the police party rescued 17 stranded passengers including 4 ladies and were shifted to Kargil.”
