Srinagar: Suspected militants hurled a grenade at a residential house in Sopore town, but it failed to explode, police said on Sunday.
The grenade, which was hurled late last night, was found in the residential compound of a civilian in Sopore town this morning, a police official said.
He said a transmission tower of a private cellular company is installed in the residential compound and seemed a target of the subversive activity.
A bomb disposal squad was rushed to the spot and the grenade was defused, the officer said.
