Govt to terminate services of more than 250 docs

SRINAGAR:   The government is terminating the services of more than 250 doctors who are absconding from their service since years, health minister Lal Singh said on Thursday.

Lal Singh said that after thoroughly going through the files of more than 250 doctors in Kashmir, it has been found that they are absconding from their services since years. Singh said the government is terminating the services of these medicos soon and the official order in this regard is in the offing.

He maintained that the doctors who have attached themselves closer to the areas of cities in Jammu and Srinagar would be detached so that they could render their services in their original places of posting.

The health minister maintained that soon new director health services Kashmir would assume charge. When asked about the reasons behind removing Director Health Services here, Health Minister said those who are unable to perform their duties shall be shown the door
