Chinar Corps, Editor’s Association jointly organise event

SRINAGAR: Sheikh-ul-Alam (RA) knockout tournament, a initiative being organised jointly by Chinar Corps and J&K Editor’s Association, was kickstarted today at Astro Turf Football Ground at Tourist Reception Centre (TRC), Srinagar. The inaugural ceremony was solemnized by Honourable Minister of IT, Youth Services, Sports & Technical Education Jenab Imran Raza Anasari.

First Tournament, under the banner of Sheikh-ul-Alam (RA) knockout football tournament, is a mega sports initiative being undertaken as collaborative effort of Army spearheaded by J&K Editor’s Association. 20 Football teams from across Kashmir will be participating in the tournament. As the name of the tournament goes, the matches will be played on knockout basis. Match played between Safallo and Arafat today at the TRC ground was the first match of the tournament in which till release of this press note were at 1-1. The tournament is seated to culminate with final match scheduled to be played on 7th Jun 2015.
