BANIDIPORE: A day long training Programme on Farm Water Management was organized by the department of Agriculture at Town hall Bandipora today. Organized under National Mission for Sustainable Agriculture (NMSA), the programme was presided over by Chief Agriculture Officer Bandipora and was attended by SDAOs, experts, KVK scientists besides a sizeable number of progressive farmers. The programme was aimed at making the farming community aware regarding use of water judiciously on paddy and other crops at different stages.
On the occasion, stress was laid on keeping close liaison of farmers with the field officials to solve ground level problems.
The scientists and experts during the training programme appealed the farming community to implement scientific advisories so that production can be increased manifold.
SDAO Bandipora on the occasion highlighted various schemes of the department besides briefing the notable achievements made by the department in Sub Division Bandipora.
