Kishtwar residents protest

Srinagar: Residents of Marwah Kishtiwar, who had come all rthe way from the remorte district, staged a protest in Srinagar on Wednesday and shouted anti government slogans against the lack of basic facilities in the area.

The locals claim that the area has no basic facilities like electricity and that the government is “insensitive”towards their condition.

“We are living like animals and have been forced to live in Stone Age”said a local Ghulam Nabi Sheikh.

He further said that the locals have visited the locals MLA and the CM with their grievance and have not yet been helped.

“The government only promises and is not doing anything on ground. We have been neglected and no one is listening to us” said another local. 

The locals of Marwah demanded that the government should look into the matter and solve their problems.

“We have hopes from the government that they will help the people of the area ”said Ghulam Nabi.
