10 Days After Drowning, Teens Declared Pass In 10th Class

SRINAGAR: Ten days after they drowned in the gushing waters of Jehlum with rescue teams failing to retreave their bodies, the duo Faizan Malik of Sonwar and Muhammad Haseeb Bhat of Khanyar passed their tenth class examination only adding to the pain of the families.

Faizan and Haseeb, who slipped into the river at Zaina Kadal area on May 10 while trying to retreave a cricket ball, had appeared in the examination in early March this year.

Faizan passed the exam in Grade 1 securing 347/500 marks.

Families of drowned teens have been on constant sit-ins to press government help retrieve bodies of the duo
