Calls for maintaining proper sanitation in educational institutions
Srinagar, May 18 (KNS): Minister of State for Information, Education & Culture, Priya Sethi Monday visited Kupwara and inspected High school Natnoosa and interacted with the staff members and students. She took stock of the facilities being provided to the students.
According to a statement issued to KNS, the Minister said that Government will rationalize teacher student ratio adding education facilities will be provided to the students at their doorsteps. She said it is important to improve the quality of education and stressed on promoting extracurricular activities like conducting debates, interstate competitions in the schools for over all development of students. She directed the concerned authorities to immediately restore electricity, water, public conveniences and other facilities in the school.
MLA Kupwara, B A Dar, MLC, Surinder Ambardar, District Development Commissioner Kupwara, K R Ranjan, Director School Education, Showkat Beigh besides officers of district administration were present on the occasion.
The Minister also visited Degree College Kupwara and inspected the auditorium, laboratory block and Science Block of the college. She also interacted with students and staff members of the college and released the Annual College Magazine.
