Srinagar: J&K Governor N N Vohra, today inaugurated a Workshop on Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), organized by the Central University of Kashmir in collaboration with University Grants Commission at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre.
The Governor, who is the Chancellor of the State Universities, highlighted the need and high importance of experienced and well qualified faculties being available for teaching the required range of subjects to enable the success of the CBCS within and between the Universities.
He said that while CBCS has been introduced in the State at the Post Graduate levels there are still many issues on which UGCs support is required to make CBCS meaningfully operational. The Governor hoped that the discussions at the Workshop would enable satisfactory solutions being found for the several outstanding issues relating to the implementation of CBCS and Credit Framework for Skill Development (CFSD).
