Cong rally is ‘frustration’: PDP

Srinagar: Ruling People’s Democratic Party Tuesday termed Congress rally as mere frustration and alleged the party is trying to cover up its  grave crimes committed during its previous stint in power.

“Protest rally of Congress is nothing but mere frustration. They cannot cover up their crimes which they have committed against the people of Jammu and Kashmir. How can people forget that it was the Congress which hanged Afzal Guru to gain some political mileage,” senior PDP leader and Minister for Education Naeem Ahktar said.

He said that out of power Congress has lost the plot and  that frustration has crept into its camp.

“Congress has accepted that it has no future in Jammu and Kashmir and other parts of the country. Congress has also been left without an issue and wants to remain in the news by resorting to mere rhetoric,” he said.

Akhtar alleged only thing NC-Congress did in their tenure was to promote corruption, mis-governance and financial mess. “We welcome the opposition to point out our deficiencies but the fact is that we are at a stage where we are clearing the mess which NC-Congress have left behind including corruption, miss-governance and the liabilities of crores of rupees,” he said.

The PDP leader said the government has to deal also with large number of youth whom Congress ministers promised jobs “just for their political purpose.”

“Everyday we receive number of youths who were promised jobs by the Congress ministers,” he claimed.
