Malik condemns PSA on Zahoor Bhat

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik Thursday strongly condemned the act of slapping Ppublic Safety Act) on Front leader Zahoor Ahmad Butt.

Zahoor who is the younger brother of Mohammad Maqbool Butt has been in jail since 2013 and recently his PSA order was quashed by court. In a statement to KNS a spokesperson of the JKLF said, “authorities slapped another PSA on him and he has been shifted to Baramullah jail.”

Maslik while condemning the slapping of PSA on Zahoor said, “Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on one hand propagates battle of ideas theory and on the other hand has unleashed reign of terror against Kashmiris and especially prisoners.”

He warned the government that any harm to JKLF leader’s health will not be tolerated. Malik appealed to ICRC and other human rights organizations to intervene on this issue and take measures to save the life of Kashmiri prisoners
