Rashid calls for Secretariat Gherao

Srinagar: MLA Langate Engineer Rashid today slammed the Central Government for stating that several acres of land have been kept aside for Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir.

According to a statement Engineer Rashid stated, “Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh by declaring that  50 acres of land have been earmarked for Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir Valley has proven how hallow the claims of State Government are with reference to the burning issue of separate townships for Kashmiri Pandits,” he said adding that the state government has succumbed  to the dictates of Union Government. “Centre wants to turn Kashmir into another Palestine”.

Rashid  said that the separate townships and granting separate land to Pandits is a dangerous move and Rajnath Singh and Central, State governments should bear in mind that this fascism would not be allowed to be take shape in Kashmir.

“Kashmiri Pandits are welcome in their land but not in separate settlements aimed at converting Kashmir into a jungle of hate,” he said.

Engineer Rashid added that the dangerous decision of issuing State Subject to children in schools is aimed at hurting majority character of Kashmir and converting natives into refugees.

Engineer Rashid added that on May  5 on the eve of opening offices they will hold a gherao of coalition ministers in Civil Secretariat against “insane and hateful measures”.
