Srinagar: A non-local woman was allegedly set ablaze by her husband in Old Citys Khankah-e-Maula area, police said.
Police said the lady identified as Manzeela,wife of Manzoor Ahmad Wani, resident Chalpan Kocha in Khankah received serious burn injuries when her husband sprinkled kerosene oil on her and set her ablaze.

She was rushed to the hospital for treatment, a police statement said, adding, a case has been registered against Manzoor in police station M R Gunj and investigation has been taken up.
Police sources said the woman hails from Bihar and is currently admitted in SKIMS Soura where her condition is stated to be critical.
