Katra: Minister of State for Public Works (R&B) and Revenue, Sunil Kumar Sharma Monday said the government has taken up a project to issue Permanent Resident Certificate and Caste certificates at the school level.
The Minister was speaking during a daylong visit to an Orphan Home, run by a NGO, situated at Katra base camp of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine.
The Minister said we have started the project in Kishtwar district on a trial basis in 17 Schools and have issued over 500 certificates so far, adding that soon all educational institutions of the state will be covered under this project.
He said the online distribution of these certificates to students would eliminate hardships the beneficiaries had to face otherwise besides it would also reduce the time taken for the delivery of these services and cut down the workload of officials further.
