Srinagar: In connection with the annual move of offices to States summer capital Srinagar, the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Gazanfar Hussian accompanied by senior officers of divisional administration today visited various residential colonies of employees.
The Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Farooq Ahmad Lone, Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Tufail Mattoo, Chief Minister PDD, Bashir Ahmad Khan and officers of Estate, PHE, PDD and other line departments accompanied the Divisional Commissioner.
During the visit, the Divisional Commissioner also inspected MLA Hostel, Civil Secretariat and Legislative Assembly Complexes and took stock of renovation and repairs work being carried there. He also inspected various government and hotel accommodations including Budshah flats, Government quarters at Church lane, Jawahar Nagar and Tulsi Bagh and hotel accommodations in Rajbagh area.
The Divisional Commissioner stressed upon the concerned to complete the necessary works within next couple of days. He also directed to ensure complete sanitation, electricity and drinking water facilities in all residential accommodations of move employees.
The Divisional Commissioner was informed that restoration work in most of the residential quarters affected by September floods has been completed, whereas work on remaining quarters will be completed by this week.
Meanwhile, the Divisional Commissioner also visited various dewatering stations at Lal Mandi, Old Gaadhanji Pora Raj Bagh, besides Ram Munshi Bagh Gauge point and assessed the water level in Jhelum River in wake of fresh rain.
