JAMMU: The government has exempted entry tax on 229 items of machinery/equipments, which are leviable under Jammu and Kashmir Entry Tax on Goods Act 2002 to be imported from outside the State by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) under Prime Ministers National Relief Fund (PMNRF) through HLL Lifecare Ltd.
As per a notification issued by the Finance Department, the said items are exclusively meant for the purpose covered under the Prime Minister National Relief Fund (PMNRF), therefore no benefit of entry tax will percolate to the supplier.
