15 Govt Employees Suspended

KULGAM: Fifteen employees of various government departments including two Zonal Education Officers, Block Medical Officer and a doctor were suspended for remaining absent from their duties in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday.

Officials sources said that on the instructions of District Development Commissioner (DDC), Additional District Commissioner (ADC), Kulgam, Muhammad Ahsan Mir conducted surprise inspection of various government offices in the district and during the inspection, they found 15 employees of various departments, including education, Public Health Engineering (PHE), Education and Horticulture, absent from duty.

The absentee employees who were placed under suspension included Zonal Education Officers Qaimou and Kulgam, Block Medical Officer Yaripora and the District Industries General Manager.
