Srinagar: Emphasizing on the effective enforcement of traffic rules in the state, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senior leader and MLA Elect Amirakadal Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari has asked the administration to address menace of frequent gridlocks and traffic congestion across the summer capital Srinagar.
In a statement issued here, Bukhari said that with no let up in traffic jams and huge hold up witnessed almost on all roads connecting the City center with rest of the Valley throughout the day particularly in peaks hours of the morning and evening is a matter of serious concern and should be addressed on priority.
Pointing out a few areas of the city, Bukhari said that most of the times vehicles are seen stranded and giving a tough time to passengers and the general public from Jehangir Chowk to Parray Pora, Iqbal Park to Jehangir Chowk, Sarie Bala to Wazir Bagh, Rambagh to Natipora, Rambagh to Solina, TRC to Amirakadal via Lal Chowk, Amirakadal to Batmaloo, Batmaloo to Qamarwari, Batmaloo to Bemina, Sonawar to Panthachowk and Nowpora to Nowshehra via Khanyar Chowk.
