Anantnag: People of K.P Road Laizbal area of Anantnag town here have complained of frequent burglaries during last few days.
Burglars broke into the house of one Syed Iftikhar son of Syed Muhammad Yousuf of Gulshanabad at KP Road area and decamped with house hold goods including jewellery.
We were out of station, when the thieves broke into our house, said Syed Iftikhar
Similarly many more incidents of theft have been reported around K.P road area from last few days.
This night again burglars broke into the house of Altaf Ahmad Bazaz and ran away with precious goods.
Locals alleged police of not acting against the thieves. The residents said that the area is frequented mostly by the drug addicts during night hours and despite bringing issue into the notice of police, they have been acting as mute separators, locals Laizbal said.
A police official said that they have already registered cases in this regard and all efforts are on to nab the burglars and recover stolen property from them.
