Pulwama: A non-local servant who had robbed a family he worked for in Kashmir was arrested by Jammu and Kashmir Police from his home in Indian State of Jharkhand.
Police sources said that Ghulam Nabi Khan of Rajpora here had lodged a complaint that gold worth 3.50 lakhs and a watch worth 50 thousand were robbed from his house. They said the Khan told police that he suspects his house servant, Manoj Munda, who is from Jharkhand, to be behind the robbery.
According to police sources, Khan had also said that the on the day of robbery, which occurred on December 17 last year, his servant had left for his house in Jharkand.
Following these developments, the police constituted a team and was sent to the ancestral village of Manoj from where he was arrested. He confessed to police that he robbed his master and was brought here. He is now in police custody, sources said.
Meanwhile, a case under FIR number 92/2014 under section 381RPC stands registered in this regard, sources added. (GNS)
