Srinagar: Senior Congress leader Abdul Gani Wakil Wednesday said that one fails to understand what is going with the circles of Peoples Democratic Party and why this party is mum over the issue of support offered to it by Congress party.
Wakil told CNS that Congress party in a communiqué to PDP had made it clear that it will offer unconditional support to it if it wants to form the government in the State. There is no response from the PDP and it seems it is in no mood to accept the support either from National Conference or Congress Party, he said and added that it is an obligation of PDP to keep a communal party like BJP at bay.
Responding to a question, Wakil said that Congress party will sit in opposition if PDP forges an alliance with BJP. We along with National Conference will perform the role of a good opposition to check the communal agenda of BJP, he said.
