SRINAGAR: Former minister Ghulam Hassan Mir today revealed that the PDP and the BJP have made up their mind to join hands to form next government in the state and offers from Congress and National Conference are not going to affect their decision in any way.
Mir said in an interview on Wednesday that sufficient indications were available which suggest that both PDP and BJP are likely to form a coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir.
Mir maintained that though various forms of alliances like NC-PDP, Congress-PDP and a grand alliance were being discussed within states political landscape, the BJP which has 25 seats has decided to join hands with the PDP which has 28 seats in the 87 member assembly.
I can only tell you that both Congress and National Conference have been offering their support to PDP for the formation of the next dispensation in the state. The parties can provide their arguments but what all need to observe is that both PDP and BJP have decided to join hands. They have made up their mind to form the next coalition in Jammu and Kashmir, he said. KNS
