SRINAGAR: As anger mounts against the curtailment of the Kerosene to Kashmir valley, the state government on said it has written to government of India, asking it to revoke its earlier issued order.
According to KNS, the Kerosene dealers in Kashmir Monday protested in the city centre saying no measure is being taken by the authorities to put a lid over the crisis that are looming large in valley due to the scarcity of Kerosene.
Reports informed that Coordination Committee Kerosene, Retail Dealers in valley said that amid the flood crisis, the curtailment in the Kerosene quota is condemnable.
The association led by Bashir Ahmad said they in the recent past held meetings with the concerned officials of the oil ministry and they were assured of some positive development in the near future. However, Bahsir said that so far the earlier order has not been revoked.
Meanwhile, talking to KNS, secretary CAPD Baseer Khan said that he had written a letter to the concerned ministry, asking it to revoke the curtailment order. Khan maintained that due to winter season, he has apprised the concerned ministry about the same. Once any reply is given to our request, same shall be intimated to people accordingly.
Pertinently, the separatist groups including Mirwaiz Umar Farooq castigated the authorities saying the curtailment quota in Kerosene is being done with the deliberated attempt to further agonize the people of Kashmir.
