ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif today greeted former Indian premier Atal Behari Vajpayee on his 90th birthday by sending him a bouquet.
The bouquet was delivered to Vajpayee’s residence by an official of the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi. Sharif was Vajpayee’s counterpart in Pakistan when the New Delhi-Lahore bus service was started in 1999.
Dec 25 is also the birthday of Sharif and Pakistan’s founding father Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted his Pakistani counterpart Sharif on his 65th birthday Thursday.”On his birthday, I convey my good wishes to Mr. Nawaz Sharif and I pray that Almighty blesses him with good health,” tweeted Modi.
