SRINAGAR: A day after the last phase of elections in the Kashmir valley ended, separatist leaders, held Ahead of these polls, were being released from various jails and police lock-ups. However some reports said that few have been re-arrested outside the detentions centers by the police again on Monday.
Pro-freedom leaders hailing from various organizations were detained in view of the state elections, with the police saying no one will be allowed to disrupt the polling.
Reports informed that the leaders who are being released include the JKLF chief Mohammad Yasin Malik, Huriyat JK leader Shabir Ahmad Shah, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Huriyat (G) spokesman Ayaz Akbar, Shabir Ahmad Dar, Mohammad Yousuf Naqash, Mohammad Abdullah Tari, Zafar Akbar Bhat, Mushtaq Ahmad Sofi, Peer Saif-ullah, Farooq Ahmad Dar, Raja Meraj-ud-din, Zafar Habib, Meraj-ud-din, Tashok Ahmad Banday, Abdul Ahad Parra, Abdul Majied Rather, Molvi Bashir Ahmad, Imtiyaz Haider and several others.
Meanwhile, KNS reported that Shabir Shah, Nayeem Khan, Ayaz Akbar, Shabir Dar, Ammer Hamza, Zaffar Akbar Bhat, Farooq Ahmad Dar besides others were released on bail from Kupwara District jail. However, soon after their release, the separatist leaders were again taken into custody by the police and shifted to Srinagar.
