Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani Saturday reiterated his appeal for complete boycott of election in poll bound areas and urged people to express their commitment and devotion with ongoing freedom struggle and with cherished sacrifices of martyrs.
In a statement while criticizing his continuous house arrest, a spokesman of Hurriyat (G) said, Geelani was once again barred from offering Friday prayers and since 2010 Geelani has been placed under house arrest and authorities are not allowing him to offer Friday obligations.
In his statement while condemning the acid attack incident in which a girl was injured Geelani said it is extremely inhuman, shameful and against humanity and these criminals are blot for society and stringent action should be taken against the culprits.
Geelani in his appeal urged parents for their active role and stressed to fulfill their duties for character building of their children. He expressed his deep grief and said occupation has snatched everything and unfortunately since last 67 years ethics, culture, civilization, religion and morals are at stack.
Commenting over the ongoing elections in state, the Hurriyat (G) chairman said, Now those people who cast their voted in favor of these parties should retrospect and come with an answer and they should know that all these contesting parties are exploiting their weakness and bartering for their interests and added these politicians have made all our generations slaves. There is no justification for your vote and the people you vote, are responsible for present carnage and pitiable circumstances in Jammu and Kashmir.
