Market checking intensified in Budgam

BUDGAM, DECEMBER 06: On the instructions of District Development Commissioner, Budgam, a team of officials lead by Food Safety Officer Budgam today carried out a surprise market checking in the main Town of Budgam.

During the inspection, some contaminated and flood affected food items like Edible Oil, Pulses etc. were found and destroyed on spot.

The market checking was further extended and a large quantity of Gutkha and other chewing tobacco material worth Rs. 20,000/- was seized and destroyed and the offenders were warned to refrain from selling or demonstrating such material through their business units failing which stern action under law would be initiated forth with.
