Srinagar: Chief Patron Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi (MeA) Muhammad Azam Inqilabi Saturday said India’s rigidity is basic stumbling block in the resolution of Kashmir issue.
In a statement, Inqilabi condemned Arun Jaitelys, Indias finance minister, Kashmir remark and said real issue is Indian leaders reneged on their promise of plebiscite in Kashmir and want to browbeat Kashmiris into submission.
He said Indian military might and arrogance of its rulers cannot bully Kashmiris who will continue to fight for their birth and inalienable right to self-determination.
Pandit Nehru as prime minister of India promised referendum in Kashmir on Nov. 11, 1947 in Lal Chowk and is a signatory to UN resolutions guaranteeing self-determination to Kashmiris. But Indian leaders through fraud and treachery backtracked from their pledge, he said.
MeA patron said Jaitely should know that Kashmiris have given sacrifice of six-lakh people and will continue to strive for their cherished objective come what may.
India hanged our national hero Maqbool Butt and Afzal Guru. But this backfired and boomeranged as Kashmir youth aims to follow the path of Hattin and Gazwa-e-Moeta.
Inqilabi said nuclear-armed Pakistan is a benefactor our cause.
Kashmiris liberated Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan through guerilla war in 1947. If there remains no Pakistan army on LoC, Azad Kashmir cannot withstand the Indian onslaught even for few hours.
Pakistan neutralized Azad Kashmirs revolutionary role in the resistance struggle, much to the relief of expansionist Indian leaders, he added.
MeA patron said OIC, as 57 Muslim member-state organization, should work for revival of Khilafat.
This is the only way to extricate the Muslim Ummah from the whirlpool and vortex of deprivation, humiliation and helplessness. OIC should act as a resistance forum, he said.
Muslim rulers should spend resources on scientists to counter the hegemony of imperialists of East and West, he added.
