SRINAGAR: Police have arrested several youth from Dalgate and its joining areas on charges of setting a CRPF Gypsy vehicle ablaze on the first week of November this month.
Pertinently, angry protestors had set ablaze a CRPF Gypsy at Dalgate after a road accident that claimed two lives including a minor. Soon after the accident, people set ablaze the CRPF vehicle (HR55C-3669) while the CRPF men resorted to aerial firing.
The locals of Dalgate and its adjoining areas including Tangabagh alleged ever since the accident, the police has been calling the youth to police station for questioning. Several youth are still in lock up and all those youth are innocent and have no role in setting the CRPF gypsy on fire, they said.
A top police official told CNS that they did not arrest anyone so far but have been calling youth to police station for questioning. (CNS)
