Srinagar: Three peddlers were arrested at two separate places in Kupwara and Shopian who used to sell prescription drugs among local youth. 475 bottles of Codeine Phosphate bottles were recovered from their possession.
On a tip off, the police party of Police post Drugmulla, during Naka Checking at Natnusa arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 425 bottle of Codeine Phosphate from their possession. The arrested peddlers were identified as Manzoor Ahmad Ganie son of Sona-u-allh and Mazaffar Hussain Shah son of Mohammad Maqbool residents of Nagri Malpora of Kupwara District. Drugmulla police has registered a case in this regard.
Meanwhile, a Police party of police station Shopian recovered 50 bottles of Codeine Phosphate from the possession of a notorious peddler, Mukhtar Naikoo son of Abdul Majeed Naikoo resident of Memandar Shopian. Shopian police after registering a case FIR number 266/14 under section 8/22 NDPS arrested the peddler and investigation is on. (GNS)
