Pak Soldier Killed in Indian Firing’

Srinagar: The Pakistan army last night violated ceasefire along Line of Control in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, a senior defence official said.

The official said that the Pakistan troopers resorted to firing in at Tika Post and Silakote in Uri sector of the district.

At Tika post, army’s 3/ 4GR regiment is posted while as 24 Punjab regiment is posted at Silakote.

“At around 11:30 pm, the Pakistan resorted to firing and the firing continued till 4:00 am. The Indian army also retaliated,” he said.

No loss of life was reported in the firing, the official added.

Meanwhile, a Pakistan army soldier was killed by Indian troops’ ‘unprovoked firing’ at the LoC in Pandu sector near Muzaffarabad on Thursday, the media reports quoting Pakistan military said.
