Srinagar: A joint security review meet was held at Baramulla which was attended by Lt. General Subrata Saha GOC 15 Corps and A G Mir IGP Kashmir.
A police spokesman said the meeting was also attended by Maj General S K Saini GOC Kilo Force, Maj. General Anil Chouhan GOC 19 Div, DIG NKR G.H Bhat, DIG CRPF M S Rawat, DIG BSF PK Joshi, all commanders of Army and District SsP of Range Baramulla.
During the meeting the security scenario of North Kashmir Range was discussed for conduct of peaceful and incident free Assembly elections. A detailed discussion was held to strengthen the security grid and synergies the coordination among different security agencies, to strategies and fine-tune the security plans. Various measures to check the militant activities were discussed so that congenial environment is created for peaceful elections, he said.
Commanders of Army and DIGs gave a brief about the prevailing situation and measures taken. District SsP also gave a detailed account of various steps taken, he added.
