Wanted death sentence for guilty: Kin

BARAMULLA: The families of three slain men killed in Machil fake encounter on Thursday said they wanted death sentence instead of life sentence to the guilty army personal.

Firdous Ahmad, brother of slain Riyaz, said though they are happy over the verdict but wanted death sentence to the ‘killers of their loved ones’.

Firdous, speaking on behalf of the all three families demanded death sentence to three accused civilians Bashir Ahmad Lone, Abbas Ahmad and Chengiz Khan who lured three to army.

“These three persons should be hanged,” he said, adding, they are out on bail and are roaming freely.

“Not only are they equally involved in murder of our sons, but they are also threatening us,” he said.

The mother of slain Riyaz said: “These three persons should be killed in the same way like they killed our sons.”(GNS)
