SRINAGAR: Anti-Corruption Court Wednesday remanded two officials of Srinagar Municipal Corporation to fifteen days’ judicial custody.
Vigilance Organization had apprehended two SMC officials, Chowdray Merajudin Buja and Aamir Rashid for accepting a bribe of Rs 65,000 for allotment of shops at Al-Qadoos Market located at Exhibition Crossing Srinagar. They were booked and a case vide FIR number 39/2014 under Prevention of Corruption Act and Ranbir Panel Code was registered against them.
Sources said that the accused were presented before Anti-Corruption Judge who remanded them to judicial custody till November 26. (CNS)
