Hurriyat (G) spokesman shifted to Kupwara jail

Srinagar: Hurriyat conference (G) chief spokesman who was detained in the recent past in view of the coming assembly elections was shifted by the state authorities to north Kashmir jail on Monday.

According to the reports, Hurriyat (G) Chief spokesman Ayaz Akbar was arrested by police recently and was kept at police station Parimpora here. Reports informed that Akbar has been shifted to Kupwara Sub Jail on Monday wherein the senior JK Leader is already under detention.

The police in the recent past cracked whip against the pro freedom camp here, detaining scores of separatist leaders and activists to thwart any anti poll activity.
