Srinagar: A paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Sunday evening was wounded critically when he shot himself at a CRPF camp in the outskirts of Srinagar.
Official sources said that Constable Vijay Krishan, 30, of 35 Battalion, who was posted at Humhama Camp, shot himself inside the camp. The bullet hit his abdomen, sources said, adding his colleagues after hearing gunshot rushed towards him and was taken to hospital.
It was not immediately known why the paramilitary soldier shot himself.
The CRPF man is being currently treated upon in a Srinagar hospital, they added.
