Bhalla reviews damage to Sports, Horti, Lib, Housing Infrastructure

SRINAGAR:- Minister for Housing, Horticulture, Culture and Youth Services & Sports, Mr. Raman Bhalla Monday convened a meeting of officers of Youth Services and Sports, Libraries and Horticulture Departments to receive the brief on the damages caused to these departments.

Receiving the details of damages suffered in the Sports sector, the Minister was informed that Kashmir Divisions has suffered Rs 11 crore and Jammu division Rs 2.50 crore besides Rs 2.25 crore assets of the department got damaged and loss of Rs 1.75 crore has been incurred on sports equipment and material.

Receiving details of damages of Library Department, the Minister was informed the department has suffered loss to the tune of Rs 66.05 Lakh.

While receiving reports of damages caused in the Horticulture sector, Mr. Bhalla was apprised that the sector has suffered huge loss of Rs 1623.19 crore. He was further informed that JKHPMC has suffered loss of Rs 157.58 crore.

The Minister was also informed that damage to Housing Department infrastructure is to the tune of Rs 161.27 lakh.
