JK Assembly to launch website


Srinagar: The minutes of the constituent assembly of Jammu and Kashmir, speeches of late Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, the autonomy resolutions besides various other remarkable events of the Legislative Assembly are now just a click away as the government on August 7 is inaugurating the official website of state’s legislative assembly here.

Sources said the website being made available on World Wide Web shall in its initial phase would  include some remarkable events of the house and most likely the minutes of the then constituent assembly shall be given the priority.

The website designed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) will have the speeches made by the NC founder- former Prime minister and Chief Minister Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, as the main content. The important speeches made by the NC founder at various occasions on the floor of assembly shall be available now on the official website of the house.

The website will also include the autonomy resolution passed by the assembly during the past decade and the detailed coverage of the same shall be hosted on the cover.

Also various other remarkable events of the assembly including the passing of the historic bills, decision taken in the state that according to the authorities were remarkable. 

Reports also maintained that during the second phase of the construction of the website, the latest data available with the house will also be uploaded including the resolutions and questions posed by the members along with their respective replies.
