Srinagar: : One person died and three others were injured in different road accidents across the valley. An unknown vehicle hit a scooter bearing registration number JK02/4790 at Samboora, Awantipora, resulting in injuries to the scooterist Mohammad Iqbal Lone resident of Damhal and his son. The duo was shifted to Hospital where Mohammad Iqbal Lone succumbed to his injuries. Police has registered a case in this regard. A motorcycle bearing registration number JK05A-6373 driven by Abdul Majid Najar resident of Sariwarpora hit a cyclist Mushtaq Ahmad Dar resident of Ghat Palhalan at Sariwaripora, in the jurisdiction of Police station Pattan, resulting in injuries to both the riders. Both the injured were shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment. Pattan police has registered a case in this regard.
Meanwhile, a Sumo bearing registration number JK04C-0851 hit and injured a pedestrian Abdul Ahad Wagay resident of Kanidajan at Kanidajan, in the jurisdiction of Police station Chari-e-Sharief. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital, Chari-e-Sharef for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
In another accident, a Swift car bearing registration number JK02AP-6078 skidded off the road at Gundipora bridge, in the jurisdiction of police station Qazigund, Kulgam resulting in injuries to two passengers, Pushkar Nath Dhar and Sanjay Bhat residents of Vessu. Both the injured have been shifted to Bone and Joint Hospital, Srinagar for treatment. Qazigund police has registered a case in this regard.
