SRINAGAR: Satish C. Mehta, Director General, Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), along with A.R. Nazki, Regional Director, ICCR, called on N.N Vohra, Governor, here at Raj Bhavan Monday.
Mehta briefed the Governor about ICCRs objectives and current activities which are aimed at fostering and strengthening cultural relations and mutual understanding between India and other countries. They also discussed ICCRs planned future programmes for projecting the art, culture, and traditions of the State and the efforts presently underway to give a fillip to the various local cultural and educational organizations in showcasing their talent to the outside world.
