SRINAGAR: CarWale (Automotive Exchange Private Limited) has recruited eight MBA-IV semester students of the Central University of Kashmir (CUK) during a campus placement event organised by the Department of Management Studies at Zainakote Academic block.
CarWale, the most viewed automotive site in India, is part of the Axel Springer (owners of Auto Bild, the worlds largest offered automotive magazine) and the India Today Group. It has been twice awarded by Red Herring as the worlds Top 200 Innovative Technology Companies. The placement event by CarWale, was conducted from June 5-7 and was the first of the series of campus placements being organized by the Department of Management Studies for its students passing out in July, 2014.
The other companies that are lined up for the current years placement of CUK MBA students are Tata, Axis Bank, Amazon, Ralson, ITC etc.
The three member recruitment team from CarWale, Mumbai was led by Ms. Priya Singh Dubey, Vice-President, Talent Acquisition. Since the company was hiring for various other positions besides HR, Marketing and Finance, the students of M.Sc-IT and MCJ also participated in the placement drive.
During the three layer rigorous selection process, the company instantly selected eight MBA students at a lucrative package. Besides, a sizeable number of M.Sc IT and MCJ students, after qualifying the initial two rounds, have been shortlisted for the final level of selection, being conducted shortly from Mumbai via Skype.
Impressed by the performance of students, CarWale offered career oriented and stipendiary internship to the junior MBA students of the University.
Congratulating the selected students, officiating Vice-Chancellor, Prof Mehraj-ud-Din and Registrar, Prof. M Afzal Zargar appreciated the efforts of Prof. A. Gani, Head, Department of Management Studies, the Training and Placement Officer, Dr. Zia-ul-Haq and other colleagues of the Department for their personal efforts in this campus placement drive and hoped that similar kind of drives will be continued by the department in future. They desired that other departments will also showcase their talent in a similar manner as there is no dearth of it at CUK.
