Cross LOC traders to meet Gov, CM

Srinagar: Joint chamber of Commerce and Industry Jammu and Kashmir is meeting Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Governor NN Vohra wherein the problems being faced by the traders of Cross LOC trade shall be discussed threadbare.

According to the reports received by Kashmir News Service, Chamber’s president M.V.Sharma and other officials including Dr Mubeen Shah, Mohammad Yasin Khan, Mohammad Shafi, Mohammad Tariq and Hilal Turkey will meet CM and Governor on May 29.

Sources said that the demands that will be put forth by the traders of the cross LOC trade shall be the enhancement of trade items, special travel permit for the traders, banking facility, communication facility from both sides of the divided line, enhancement of trade days from three days to six days.

Details maintained that a detailed report will be complied by the state government after the meetings will be held with the traders. The report shall include a detailed status of the problems being faced by the cross LOC traders and also the demands for the betterment of the trade facilities. The report will later be submitted to the Government of India so that during the forthcoming Indo-Pak trade meeting, the Cross LOC trade and the facilities needed for the same shall be discussed by the authorities of the both sides.
