Srinagar, May 16 : Not giving much importance to the Lok Sabha verdict in Jammu and Kashmir, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, chairman Hurriyat Conference (M) on Friday said that whichever regional party in the state wins the elections, it is the Delhi that rules the roost.
Talking to KNS, Mirwaiz said: It hardly matters for us (separatists) that whether NC, PDP or any other mainstream party wins or loses these elections. Actually the writ lies with New Delhi. They give assignments to these political parties and these political parties are supposed to worked and follow their policies on ground in Kashmir, the Hurriyat (M) chairman said.
The Mirwaiz observed that history bears witness to the fact that no Member Parliament from Kashmir has ever spoken against the human rights violations being perpetrated in Kashmir. And what adds to their shame is that Assasudin Owasi, MP raised his voice in Parliament in Kashmir and so called Kashmiri parliamentarian who are actually Delhis puppets remain as mute spectators in the Parliament, he stressed.
