Srinagar: Syed Sad-ud-Din Gilani, father of noted writer and activist Syed Nazir Gilani passed away at his ancestral residence in North Kashmirs Baramulla district on Monday.
Large number of people from different walks of life participated in the funeral prayers. The prayers were offered at main Eidgah of the area at 12 noon. Large number of people visited Gilanis residence to offer condolences and sympathies with the bereaved family.
Kashmir Observer editorial staff have meanwhile conveyed condolences and expressed sympathies with the bereaved family, particularly Dr Gilani.
