Omar meets Sonia

SRINAGAR: Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah this evening called on UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi and discussed various matters pertaining to the development process in Jammu and Kashmir and functioning of the coalition government.

The Chief Minister expressed gratitude to UPA Chairperson for the support extended by the UPA Government to Jammu and Kashmir State Government for carrying forward development process equitably and inclusively across the State, an official spokesman said.

Sources in Congress said that the high commands of Congress and the National Conference are discussing a pre-poll alliance for the forthcoming parliamentary elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
