Srinagar: Two persons including a two year old girl died and ten others were injured in different road accidents across the Valley.
A Bus bearing registration number JK01D/3725 on way from Srinagar to Magam turned turtle at Kawoosa, Budgam, in the jurisdiction of police station Magam, resulting in injuries to nine passengers. All the injured were shifted to Sub district Hospital, Magam for treatment where an injured lady Raja Begum age 55 years wife of Mohammad Akbar Ganie resident of Agri Kalan, Budgam, succumbed to her injuries. A case has been registered in this regard.
An Eco vehicle bearing registration number JK05C/2735 hit and injured a 02 years old girl Tabish daughter of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Reshi resident of Hardshiva, Sopore, near police station Sopore. The injured baby was shifted to Sub District Hospital, Sopore for treatment, where she succumbed to her injuries. A case has been registered in this regard.
During the intervening night of 08/09.01.2014, a Santro Car bearing registration number JK05D/3620 driven by Mohammad Shafi Mir son of Abdul Ahad resident of Zaloora, Sopore slipped over the snow and rammed into an electric pole near Saide Kadal Bazar, Srinagar, in the jurisdiction of police station Rainawari, resulting in injuries to driver and another person traveling in the Car. A case has been registered in this regard.
