SRINAGAR: Power Development Department (PDD) today stated that the suspended power supply in several areas of Valley shall be restored by Tuesday evening.
The PDD further stated that the remaining faults will be rectified during the early hours of Wednesday and that the department was on tenterhooks to restore the supply at the earliest.
PDD chief Bashir Ahmad Khan said that the department at present has the usage of 600 megawatts while the routine supply was 900 megawatts. The reports of faults are coming from various areas of the valley and at several places the faults in high tension cables has become the matter of concern.
PDD Chief claimed that the 90 percent of the faults will be rectified by tonight and the remaining shall be restored by Wednesday morning.
