Waza Re-elected PL Chief

SRINAGAR: Mukhtar Ahmad Waza was re-elected as Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League.

An extra-ordinary meeting held at the central office of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League, which was attended by all the central and district members.

In the meeting, all the members unanimously elected Mukhtar Ahmad Waza as the Chairman of the party for two years. It was also decided that in future Mukhtar Ahmad Waza would represent the party as the Executive Member of All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC).

Among others the meeting was attended by Mohammad Ashraf Vaid, Sheikh Zahoor Ahmad, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi, Shakeel-ul-Rehman, Jaffar Kashmiri, Shabbir Ahmad Butt, Fayaz Ahmad, Dr Rashid Wani, Advocate Abdul Ahmad Qadri, Advocate Naseem Qadir, Tahoor Ahmad, Mohammad Iqbal Butt, Mastar Mohammad Maqbool, Ghulam Ahmad Mir, Majid Sofi, Javaid Ahmad Wani and Rauf Kashmiri.

Later, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza speaking to the party members thanked them for reposing confidence in him as the chairman of the party for next tenure. “Like past I will take look forward to address Kashmir dispute as per the UN resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people on International level.
